I can't put songs on my Sansa Sandisk e250

PROBLEM

I just recently purchased the sandisk sansa e250 but everytime I go to WMP10 (Windows Media Player 10) and try to burn the songs on it, it wont work. I tried selecting a playlist but instead it tries copying the whole library. I just dont know how to puts ongs on my Sansa... help please

SOLUTION

  1. You have to change the setting for the mp3 player. Go to menu, then setting and go down to USB. There are two options, USB and AutoDetect. Select AutoDetect. When you connect the mp3 again, it will be detected as portable device sansa. You can now use Windows media player and sync a playlist to it or you can drag and drop music to it (accessing from my computer). hope this helps.
  2. Hey to get music onto the Sansa e250R you have to plug the Sansa into the computer. Next go to mycomputer. Then onen ethier sansa or Removable Disk(F:). Then take the songs you want and drag them on to the white space under photos and vidos and all that other files. DO NOT PUT IT IN A FI

Sansa e250 wont turn on

PROBLEM

my sansa e250 will not turn on the screen stays black and the blue bar is responding when i spin it (lights up.) I can turn it on and it off so it does not light up and it lights up when I hit the power button to turn it on but not off

SOLUTION

  1. Hey if u r mp3 player doesn't go on,then press the power botton for 20-30 sec. and if that doesn't also works then connect it on u r computer and press it for 30 sec. I had that problem many times and it works.
  2. I found the solution to our problem!! and it is very easy. Take the 4 screws off the back. Remove the battery. Press the on/off switch and all the others on the front. Replace the battery and the screws.

How do I format my Sansa e250?

PROBLEM

I'm so confused. How do I reformat my Sansa mp3 player?
I can't switch it on, because it does this weird restarting thing and the menu will not come up at all.

It shows the SanDisk logo and then the whole screen just goes white, and it does it over and over again.
I know someone else had the same trouble... but I don't know how to reformat it :(

how can this be done?

SOLUTION

  1. do not use the 7 steps suggested by "guest" ITS A SCAM. it ruined my mp3 player
  2. This worked for me... Hope it works for you as well

*Disconnect the device, turn it on
*Go to Settings > USB Mode > MSC
    *Connect the device
    * Open up My Computer
*Under the heading "Devices with Removable Storage"
Look for Sansa E250 (Removable Drive) - Note: this heading
"Devices with Removable Storage" applies to the "Arrange Icon By: Type" , option in My Computer Window
    * Right-click on the E250 and choose format
*Click "Start" and agree to the format
  3. I had ruined my e250 doing it the way the "guest" above had noted. Note, the only reason why is because there are TWO files needed to format the Sansa e250. Contact their Tech Support via their website, once you register the Serial Number of your Mp3 player they will send you the required files. Hope that helps :)
  4. When you connect to the computer does Windows Media player recognize the MP3 player? If so you can reformat in Windows Media player.

Sansa e250 MP3 Player Can't transfer data file

PROBLEM

Hi,
I'm trying to transfer files from our library (books on CD) and I'm getting the following error message:

error message "Unable to transfer the selected title because Insert 3 returned 0xC00D2772"

I used to be able to do it with no problem.

SOLUTION

  1. Does your mp3 player play CDAs? Because that is the normal extension for Book CDs on tape, not mp3s. If you convert your
book cda files to mp3 files first, you should have no problem. Does anyone know an itunes like program that will do this simply for my Sandisk model e260 mp3 player? I just did it all by hand and it was hard. I would like it if there was some freeware somewhere that would do it for me. I had to create 8 subdirectories to place them on the Sandisk playlist. It was my first time and it took parts of 2 days.
  2. I had the same problem went to they sync menu on Windows Media Player 11 went to the arrow at the bottom of the tab to expand the menu there was my sansa 250 I went down to it which expanded the menu to the side from there I selected format clicked which erased anything previous on the player as soon as I was done I was able to tranfer my books to my player as I normally do.
